Soprano Lindsey Scanio, a native of Buffalo, New York, is a recent graduate of the Manhattan School of Music under the instruction of Ruth Golden. She has had many opportunities to perform internationally with Opera Lucca in Italy, Berlin Opera Academy in Germany, and several productions in Montreal, Quebec. Scanio's previous roles include Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, Turnspit in Rusalka, Cupidon in Orpheus in the Underworld, Dew Fairy in Hansel und Gretel, Elizabeth in Come Closer, and Zerlina in Don Giovanni. Her scene experience includes Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Cecilio in Lucio Silla, and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro.
She also has taken part in several chamber performances, such as Maiden, Mother, Crone, a contemporary staged song cycle of Barber and Saariaho, and operatic chorus ensembles including Verdi's Un Giorno di Regno and Bologne's Lamant Anonyme. Lindsey is a graduate of the Schulich School of Music of McGill University where she studied under the instruction of Joanne Kolomyjec.
During her education, she had many opportunities to work internationally with conductors and directors such as Raphael Fusco, John De Los Santos, Patrick Hansen, Stephen Hargraves, Dominic Wheeler, and Jean-Sebastien Vallee.
